Well, as you regular fústarers have no doubt noticed, the blog has been pretty much consistently on the blink for the last 48 hours…much to my frustration.
It was back (briefly) last night, and then it was gone…and then it was back etc etc.
The good news (if you're reading this) is that it finally seems stable, secure, and fully-functioning once again (or possibly for the first time).
The reason things have improved is that I have abandoned my previous hosts, due to complete undependability and 12 minute waits on hold to the customer service department…
My new hosts seem infinitely more friendly, reliable, and quick to tackle problems, so hopefully the blog will now enjoy a golden era of efficiency.
Fingers crossed…

A 12 minute wait! ount yourself lucky. NTL has frequently had callers waiting 2 hours or more to get through at peak periods. Though i suppose it does depend on the hold music. Many Call Centres use the soothing tunes of Enya to lull customers in to a temporary coma whilst they wait. When the call is finally answered, they’re too weak to argue.
Enya!? Any such new-age malarkey would have me foaming at the mouth and filled with murderous rage after 20 minutes, never mind 2 hours.
I had a selection of contemporary hits sung in ‘muzak’ style by artists you’ve never heard of (and never will). I hung up when a poor-man’s Robbie Williams (how poor is that?!) launched into Angels…
