All Around is Fresh and Fair
They went, they saw, they conquered (thank Christ), they came home, they paraded through the streets of Limerick (in the pissing, pissing rain), they came on stage, we cheered, songs were sung, cannons of confetti were fired, people got thoroughly saturated, grown men and women wept with joy…exeunt all to get hammered. Hoorah!
Welcome to Homecoming 2006, Munster Style.
It'll probably be many months before the thousands of bits of red paper that floated through the sopping skies will disappear entirely from O'Connell St. (and even longer before memories of an epic local triumph will fade), but at least one fragment shall enjoy bloggy immortality…thanks to yours truly scraping it off the pavement.
They may have the Heineken Cup, but I've got a dirty, soggy bit of ephemera to treasure.
