Just a quick note to remind my fellow Limerickians that the 10th annual Unfringed festival will run (in various places/spaces around the city) from the 31st Jan (i.e. tomorrow) – 10th Feb.
Details of the various treats on offer – theatrical, musical, cinematic, artistic – can be found here or on one of the handsome posters/flyers that are doing the rounds (I picked up mine in The White House).
I draw your attention particularly to Rotozaza's performance of 5 a.m. in the Morning (Belltable, Feb 4th, 8 p.m.), for the perfectly acceptable reason that one of the performers (a Mr. Greg MacLaren) is an old school friend of the wife's (and she from Bristol…small world and all that jazz).
For those who like to use such occasions to get smashed, an Unfringed Club will run every night of the festival from midnight to 2 a.m. in Dolan's.
Enjoy, and best of luck to all involved.

Is that a photo of the Fústar family on holidays in Trabolgan?
Are you in a witness protection programme or something?
January 30th, 2007 at 3:30 pmAh, Trabolgan! Last time I was there (many moons ago) I was nearly dashed to death against the pool wall by the ferocious wave machine. I also recall my brother - who was very young at the time - going down the twisty-turny slide on my da’s lap. Half way down the brother became detached and sped ahead, landing in the pool a split second before my da came crashing down on top of him.
Needless to say he was quite traumatised. The rest of us siblings found it quite hilarious.
