I also had this on the ZX Spectrum and it was a fantastic conversion. The arcade original and Spectrum conversion are still playable to this day. Great article! The Spectrum version will be reviewed at our site Spectrum Games very shortly!

I play it on Mame. After having watched King of Kong I just had to get hold of my Mame archive with Donkey Kong, Bomb-Jack, Time Pilot, Hyper Olympics, Zaxxon and the other games from the Golden Age of Arcade. I was just the right age at the beginning of the 80’s and I spent a fortune on Donkey Kong.

Give my regards to Ireland, I worked in Dublin a 2000-2002 and those years were some of the best in my life:)

Hello m8,

I had this game for the Speccy!

Jolly good old times me and my friends had playing this! I was like 10 back then and now I can’t believe I actually liked that kind of games.

Right now I’m more into Europa Universalis and Total War.
