You may (on these dreary January days) be lamenting the passing of the recent Winter Festival, but despair ye not. The real “loveliest time of the year” is just around the corner.
Yes, the 3rd Irish Blog Awards are almost upon us (provisionally, Feb 23rd) and they’ll no doubt be met with joyful abandon (and shouts of “Hey Nonny Nonny No!”) up and down the country.
If you’d like to vote for this here blog, its (currently sleepy) companion Greetings Earthlings, or any of the other excellent bloggy wonders out there then pop along here and get busy voting.
The format this year is quite different, with lengthy judging replacing a popular vote and measures taken to prevent spamming, so have a careful read of the instructions before you put virtual pen to virtual paper.
Nominations close at 9pm on Friday, January the 18th.

Which category? Pop culture or personal? Or doesn’t it really matter what category people vote for you in?

I don’t think I qualify for “personal” really. I reckon “Pop Culture” or “Arts and Culture” (and “Best Blog”!) would be closest to the mark. I’ve been nominated in Arts/Culture the last 2 years but Pop Culture didn’t exist as a category before.
If you think Greetings Earthlings is deserving of a shout then the “Specialist” category might be its most suitable home.
