One would have expected her to look pissed off (sorry, couldn't resist that). I don't think that you needed to worry when you were having your tonsils out. Judy looks quite masculine for a girl and with the Action Man boots and the sock for a manly hat I am sure that nobody would have noticed - except of course that it must have made her look a bit sapphic...
